Samuel Mbindio Nzioko
My names are Samuel Mbindio Nzioko from Baringo. I am a student aged 21 years, born on 20th September 1989. I am a student at an esteemed institution called Kaputiei Secondary. I am in form II where I never imagined I would be but for God.
For that matter, I am coming from the poorest family. I lost both my parents a long time ago when I was young. Later I found myself in Baringo District where I migrated to from Kitui after I left standard 8 in 2005.
I had been living hand to mouth throughout my whole life. So I prayed to God all the time for someone who would lend me a hand in life. At this moment I am happy because I am saved. I love Jesus as personal savior of my life.
As I was staying in Baringo for all those years, my friend spoke to me about how we can escape that area. I decided to run away with him up to Nairobi to see help. How we came across Jamii Bora Limited company I still wonder today. I know God was the one who brought me here. We stayed for about one month and learned of a school called Kaputiei Secondary at Isenya in St. Anne.
So I applied to this school and nobody responded but the junior managers who admitted me into the school because I was an intelligent person in search of education. I joined the school in form II on 24th Feb 2010. Now I aspire to ener university.

My names are Kennedy Giathi, born in the year 1992, month of July. I was born into a single-parent family. I have no brothers or sisters. My mother died in July 2003. My family is scattered. When my mother and care-taking grandmother died, everything was a mess. My education halted and nobody was there for me. I was only to be seen in Mathare slum hustling for something to eat and hence being homeless. My mother died when I was in class three. I stayed out of school for two years. But later, my aunt was just passing by one day and she saw me lying down on Mathare-Nigeria Highway. She was very sorry for me. She took me and I lived with her for several days before she took me to school.
My aunt not being well-off financially, I got somebody to pay for my school fees until 2008 when I complete completed primary. Even though I passed with 330 marks, I had nowhere to go. The one who paid for my primary fees stopped. I never joined form I in 2009. This being a very strong and big challenge, I still adhered in believing that one day I’ll join secondary and complete my education. And here I am now in 2010 about to complete my first year of secondary school. I am talented in football and singing and I know one day if only I get the facilities I have the ability to shine and become a superstar in the whole world.
